My role: Content Committee member & change management facilitator
The challenge: Identify issues of potential D&I insensitivity and develop plans and/or process improvements for addressing these issues. This area of socially conscious content is an ongoing focus and a passion of mine. See examples of both internal and external projects by clicking the link.
Longterm goals
Diversity & Inclusivity isn't the most visually compelling product content in the world, but for me, improving the ways in which internal and external audiences are thoughtfully represented is a passion-project worth consistent, ongoing attention and care. Audiences should be able to see their values reflected in the product. In this way, brand content as a statement of social responsibility is key to the success of the business.


To help facilitate change, I take various approaches
Participation in the establishment of the Zillow Content Council to emphasize the importance of content consistency and reflecting Brand promises across all customer-facing comms channels.
Ongoing coordination of inclusive language recommendations & updates in instances where sensitivity to diverse perspectives is more important than generalization.
Creation of simple, easily discoverable resources and processes connecting networks for reporting D&I content concerns, internally.
